Learning Outcomes
& Performance Indicators

 

World Language and Culture

There are three Performance Based Learning Outcomes for this content area.  They are:

  1. Interpretive Communication: Understand the target language through reading and listening.
  2. Presentational Communication: Express ideas through one-way writing and speaking in the target language.
  3. Interpersonal Communication: Exchange ideas through written and spoken communication in the target language.


The World Language and Culture curriculum is for the middle school and high school levels and divided up by mastery level.  Click the links below to see the Performance Indicators for each level.

**The WLC Department based our Learning Objectives & Performance Indicators on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Benchmarks and Performance Indicators.
