On August 24th, we held our second annual Welcome Back to School Event for the members of the HSD Global Majority. The day was filled with so much joy for the start of school. Thank you to our vendors and supporters (KC Moore Ice Cream, DJ Skar, Nerd Squad, The People's Barbershop, NH Party Rental Bounce House, and UVAC)! Dr. Luvelle Brown, Superintendent of the Ithaca School District and Equity Consultant, returned for a second year as the Hartford School District's keynote speaker during the District's Inservice Day. He spoke about moving Equity work from Reflection to Action, through a process requiring folks to engage in constructive conflict.
